thanks a lot for your explanation. now i have the idea how does the pull-up works. but how come i want to connect it with ยต-controller, is it i have just put a resistor between VCC and port 0 or any other connections.

as example, i want to light up an LED at port0, what should i do, i'm also facing same problem with p1.0, is there any register value to be modified first before i can use it as output port.
