I have been trying to follow and except for one post
I couldn't see single diagram.
Now about LED operation:
Does this fellow knows how to turn off LED with that
whatever IC he is using?
If his LEDs are lighting then it seems that some
improper word has been latched. Now to turn off LEDs
he has to send command of 0x00 to that ic in serial format.
But instead he seems to send command to P0 which is not
latched.
He may not have destroyed Micro and may have replaced
with another good one. But unless he knows how to send
command on serial line nothing will work.
Interestingly if he had used some other derivative
like Atmel 89C2051 then he can drive directly the LEDs
on the port.If current limiting resistor is included then
good. If not micro will limit to 10mA and unless he is using
all 15lines to drive LEDs micro will not fail!
