Well, I thought you might know more about 'em than that, but I do appreciate the info.
The link that Joe Gold proposed <www.integration.com> seems promising, in that they've got a part that's separate from the MCU, operates at short range, and costs about $2US in quantity, which is more than I'd hoped, but might actually work out. They've got some interesting modules for their demo set. The 7-meter range under ideal conditons, that Joe Gold mentioned is adequate, I think, since the application is mainly indoors and that ensures decent conditions, though one can fool himself in that regard. A vaccuum cleaner running in the next room can raise hell. RE |
