I'm a mite spooky of Micrel, since they've bought IP and integrated/resold it without knowing entirely how it works, which has bitten me in the *ss at one time. They sell an ARM9-based "intelligent switch" product that has, among other things, an SRAM interface, the timing of which was certainly not clearly defined in their spec's and nobody could tell me whether the SRAM-associated strobes preceded or followed a given clock edge, and by how much. It's pretty critical when it's only a 10 ns window.
