#111209 - I've got no idea ...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I have no specifics on EZ-pass, but since it's a vehicle used by governments to measure things on which they collect money, I assume it is WAY too costly and complex.

The RF-ID stuff is the size of a pinhead and costs <<$0.10 each. The sew them into the seam of your jeans when you buy them at WalMart, just so they don't have to examine each item in order to take inventory. You know they wouldn't do that if it increased their cost. Likewise, they sandwich them into your credit card so McDonald's can charge you for your Big Mac. An unfortunate side-effect is that they can take inventory of what's in your house, or in your car, or, for that matter, what's in your wallet, too, at least the stuff with RFID hardware. Since they keep databases, there's no telling what they'll end up doing with the information, or to whom they'll sell it.

WinBond makes 'em, and they're not alone. I just haven't yet found the "right" product ... yet ...
