No you are not. Nobody is in need of an IDE, it may be a convenience to some, but can never be a need.

please tell me some sites which provide information regarding developing code in "c" and cross compiling it i dont know how to develop code in c and cross compile and flash it on to microcontroller.
If you do not know how to code in C, you must learn C first.

please help me out to get information regarding this issue and any assemblers or integrated development environment that is freely available.
you ask about C, now you ask about assemblers, what is it?
