#136758 - Why would you want to write your own?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
So far, you've given the impression that you were interested in learning. One thing you'll eventually learn is the silliness of reinventing the wheel.

If you're bent on learning, I can almost guarantee you the main thing you'll learn is the reason why few people use QBASIC for useful work. The impression you've left so far is that you want to learn about the 805x series. If you want to learn about the PC, then go ahead, but what you learn won't be terribly useful over the long-haul.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why it is that you want to use QBASIC. If you want to learn, you should probably focus on a current-generation language rather than an adaptation of a third-quarter 20th-century language.
