The second piece of software (which is complete) takes the raw data and feeds it to my 8051 circuit. This particular software is not likely to work with many users. In fact, it might only work with me, and thats it, just because of my hardware setup.

Well, if you boil down what you, after fighting the suggestion for days, finally made to a LP port based external EPROM programmer (which it is, if you omit a gate or two) there MAY be a few, of the few external EEPROM users left, that may be interested.
