The "Bible" clearly states, that the port can be configured as input!

Kai, this thread comes to word`s playing. Just a question about this issue: how to configure a port as output one with '1's on its pins? The answer: with the same writing '1' to its latch. So what: the same function (writing '1' to latch) sets port as input and as output one at the same time.
Well, I think we all here do understand how 8051 ports do work and should stop this fight about terms.
