oxford dictionary says Mode = "manner of act"


if latch is zero it acts like output actually as if you want to input somting it destroys it and always reads zero. thats not input at all. this "manner of acting" is output where you force others to see you as 0 or one, .i.e a non connectyed TTL will stiil input a 1 its not the real input.
