I have said this several times before and I have no hesitation in saying it again. Although I agree it is very hard to find an application on an 8051 that needs an RTOS, it very worth while to study their techniques, terminolgy, strengths and weaknesses and how they overcome them because real time development on an 8051 faces exactly the same issues.
