It'd be interesting to hear what Keil or other RTOS providers have to say on this matter. Are these RTOS's sold, in fact, to developers coming from a PC environment that are lost without something that resembles an OS, or that can't live without having the appearance of being able to "multitask?"

I personally am hard pressed to imagine a circumstance in which I'd want to use an RTOS on the 8052, but I refrain from making blanket statements because I don't pretend to be able to imagine every possible design requirement that could be generated.
