#141999 - P89V P89C
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Putting in to serial UART ISP programming mode
===============================================
i)
The P89C uses the /PSEN = low just after POR

ii)
The P89V looks for U' characters down the Rx of UART for 400mS (11.0592MHz Xtal) just after POR (power on reset).

Both can be programmed by Flash Magic and both have simple hardware connected to the serial port to let Flash Magic control to set programming mode.

a) RESET and /PSEN for the P89C

b) RESET for the P89V

See the the Flash Magic user manual.

I have converted from P89C to P89V - perhaps knowing the 80c51 core and the "detailed" differences - it can be done readily easily.
