#141973 - CV51 solution
Responding to: ???'s previous message
1. The C51Rx2 family is obsolete. You could enter ISP by holding PSEN low during power-up in the C51Rx2 family.

2. NXP's suggested replacement to the C51Rx2 is the V51Rx2.

3. BUT! The V51Rx2 enters parallel programming mode when PSEN is low during power-up! NOT what we were expecting! (And NOT what I call compatible!)

4. We complained to our local rep about this difference (which is spelled out in TN06007 "V51RX2 Migration") not being acceptable. He replied that NXP is coming out with another family series that maintains this ISP entry method (PSEN=0 at power-up). That "solution" is the CV51Rx2 family.

Sorry if the word "solution" was confusing. The CV51Rx2 is the proper replacement for the C51Rx2 family because it maintains this ISP entry method we use.

Clearer?
