#141935 - P89CV51Rx2 XRAM bug? |
Has anyone else been trying out the new P89CV51Rx2 family?
NXP has come out with this flavor because the original replacement (V51Rx2) for their C51Rx2 family was definitely NOT a drop-in part! We tried to update an existing product with a CV51RD2, and the code did not run. The programmer tracked it down to the XRAM by writing a test routine to write/read the XRAM and send out the results serially. The test code works on an old C51RB2, but not on the new CV51RD2 sample we have. (And no, the problem isn't due to one being an RB2 and the other an RD2). So has anyone else encountered this, or any other, bug with this new part? tom |
