Next thing iam interested to know is how do write "debugging codes" to debug the source code that is developed?
the only form of "debugging codes" I know of is
insert a "turn a lED on" in YOUR source
insert a printf (or such) in YOUR source
insert .... in YOUR source

Where does the debugging code reside? what type of code it would be?

The other option is an ICE, a simulator, etc where you write NO "debugging codes".
