Debugging is an Art and a skill. Not a fill in the blank question.
Most methods will work at full speed. With or without limitations.

You best dubugging tool is your brain.

For Example a clock.
You can speed it up say 60 times as fast. Then you can watch 12 hour in 12 minutes. Set alarms and see them work. Output a 1 second pulse and check it with a stop watch or frquency counter.
