Then the well-thought-out ASM51 code would be quicker to generate, easier to debug, smaller, and faster where needed. It would also be more maintainable, since the guy doing the maintenance could more easily wade through the commented ASM than the typical quirky 'C'.
Now, if the 'C' editor had a built-in feature to define and to FORCE you to write C51 rather than PC-C, it might be a good thing. That would be most un-'C'-like, though. you miss the point: No Cidiot would have even an inkling how to write '51 assembler. Erik |
