C will eat up your processing time considerably... That MAY be the case. It is amazing how long a process on the '51 written in C can take when written by a Cidiot. However, when written by a qualified '51 C programmer, the added process time is quite nominal. I had an example of working with some code written by a Cidiot and, without resorting to assembler but sticking to C, I increased the speed by 3 and reduced the code size to half.
