It would be interesting if someone could identify the ID that you are actually reading as such a derivative. "1EH" is the signature of manufacturer, which is Atmel. Atmel would hardly change this signature so that the chip could no longer be identified as being manufactured by Atmel, right? The second signature, namely "52H", marks, that this chip is an AT89S52. "53H" is the signature of an AT89S53. No, to me the chip is damaged. Maybe due to an ESD-event, or what heaven knows... Kai |
