#110304 - re switches
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Remembering that the reset switches are 6 pin BCD rotary with 4 active pins and another 2 to ground or Vcc, here are some example settings, where the values are:
D H MM : D H MM (8 switches!)

0 0 05 : 0 0 05 for a speed or blitz game with 5 minutes total for each player.

5 0 05 : 5 0 05 Newer style blitz where there is a 5 second delay/bonus per move, depending on another switch's specification. If it's a delay, there would be a separate digit on the LCD showing it count down to zero before the main decrementing started. If it's a bonus, it would be transparently added to the main time; the delay digit who show zero.

5 0 05 : 4 0 03 where the second player is giving time odds to the first. This is why i have to have two sets of switches.

0 2 00 : 0 2 00 for old-fashioned tournament time controls.

Thanks for the suggestion about contacting the manufacturer instead of the distrib, it hadn't occurred to me.

Peter.
