#110273 - Multiplex BCD Rotary Switch Input?
I've got six BCD Rotary Switches that I'm using to initialize the two players' clocks but the 8052 I'm using is an AT892051 (at least until now). As far as I can see, P1 can be dedicated to reading these 24 pins.

Reading the switches is only done once, at the start of the program, so I don't want to upgrade the 8052 and waste power unnecessarily.

Can someone suggest a typical input device that wouldn't use a lot of power (maybe even be capable of being shut down)?

Thanks,
Peter.
