Dear Prahlad, my IC on board is MM74HC244N. I just now saw datasheets of both the above and MM74HCT244N, and found the major differences:

HC : works from 2 to 6v, with single buffer as

HCT: from 4.5 to 5.5v, with single buffer as



And rest of the ratings are almost similar(if I havent overlooked). Could you please tell me why I should use HCT instead of HC?
