#108609 - Other programmers
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi all, thanks for your reply.

Jez:
Yes, I have also used the same program, and it worked pretty well on DOS. I would like to have a GUI front end, so cant go for that as of now.(I remember I did some signing-up and received the software thru mail)

Abishek:
Well, Atmel's adapter supports only '51 derivatives, the STK200 hardware is much simpler, and it supports a plethora of ICs: '51, AVR, PIC, 24xx EEPROMs, and much more!

Farshid:
I still remember the discussions we had for Asim Khan's programmer. My hardwares(STK200 dongle and the target board) are correct, in the sense:

The programmer software(PonyProg)detects and I could program AVR using the same programming dongle.

Regarding my target s52 board, I am able to program thru same ISP port using another ISP programmer from here. This is a parallel programmer, and it also has ISP port.

Well, I would try that bread board method, thats my last resort now. I wish to have a Digicam, and I would find one and shall post the pictures.

Regards,
Vignesh
