There are so many devices claiming to be 805x's that saying they sell 8051 is like saying they sell resistors. If I ask for an 8052, what I mean is an Intel 8052 or something exactly compatible, not a superset, not a subset, not a variant. It's important to keep in mind, too, that an 8052 has masked-ROM in it, so what I generally want is either an i8752 or an i8032. When I want something else, I generally say so.
