Its one of those projects that got dropped for want to the time to finish it/ doing my cycle racing and getting involved in large projects at work. I know that you don't like HDLs Richard but the programable logic used in the number plate reading cameras has reached the equivelent of over 2 million gates and things like version control and squishing bugs which get imported from one version to another is getting erm...interesting.
The other day I found a bug which had been around for 6 years imported from one version to another, I fixed the bug which then broke the software, the software people fixed the software which then revealed another bug in the hardware ....arggg!!! |
