#128366 - good place to start, bad place to stay
Responding to: ???'s previous message
once i wandered into C I'll try to be as much C-ish as possible

good place to start, bad place to stay.

Yes, by all means "try to be as much C-ish as possible" initially or you will never explore the language fully.. However, once you have done that, start mixing. My projects range from 100% tp 60% C. For instance, I have some code that, even with a 100MHz 1 clocker, run too slow when in C.

            Another bad idea?            01/01/70 00:00
it seems that this is hardwired in SDCC...            01/01/70 00:00

                  nice...            01/01/70 00:00
   you do not want a 'heap' in '51 C, however            01/01/70 00:00

               I'd disagree on this one...            01/01/70 00:00
well, you have to mix to get that            01/01/70 00:00
