Apart from adding some placeholders for segments the use of inline assembly (as I did in my post which you were responding to) can be just a wrapping of assembly code.

With all XDATA in a separate assembly file there is no "housekeeping".

If you change the method I use and include any "housekeeping" whatsoever, you end up with a nightmare.
