#114120 - Certainly, he'll need a programmer Responding to: ???'s previous message |
but there are a few GAL16V8 and GAL22V10 programmers published on the web.
The main concern, though, is software capable of supporting this fairly "mature" GAL. PALASM is one tool that handles parts ranging from the old PAL16L8's up through MACH23x type CPLD's. I don't know that it handles anything beyond that. It does allow the use of state-machine syntax as well as logic equations, and those are what I'm accustomed to using. Cypress had a tool called "Galaxy" which was a VHDL suite for its SPLD's and CPLD's. That supported the 16V8 and 22V10 architecture and produced a jedec file that could be used by nearly any programmer. RE |
