If you know what's required to do what it does, you'll have an easier time redesigning it, and programming it is not difficult with any of a number of low-cost PLD programmers. There are even a few websites that have programming information available. If you don't have other tools availale, a search for "PALASM" will probably yield a copy of the old, tried-and-true software that, among other things, supports this part.
In the olden days when I used these parts, I tend to recall sticking them in a programmer (HARDWARE) to program them. I have no recollection of doing it with software only so will he not need some hardware as well ? Erik |
