Did you try oscillator chip instead crystal? Yep, it worked just fine with a can oscillator at 24 MHz. Why not? We do some products where external oscillator modules at 18.432MHz and 22.1184MHz are used together with AT89C51CC03 and AT89C51ED2 derivatives. No return due for 2000+ over three years. I was speaking about the AT89S8253 since they have not specified a max X2 speed and the device is limited to 24MHz clock rate. Trev |
