Why are so many users resigned to using 11.0592 MHz when 11.9808 or even 12.000 will work adequately?
Its exact the same reason, why I use 1W resistors for 0.5W load, 35V elcaps for 25V and so on. Also no driver drive the engine always at full speed. Its not wise to drive devices always on its limits, because it reduces reliability and lifetime. And in practice only 9% more speed give absolute no significant improvement on the application. But its wise to drive devices only as fast as needed. So also some 24MHz devices run only at 7,3728MHz on my applications. Peter |
