First: I repeat Kalpaks question: Any reason not to use its hardware I2C
2) SILabs does not have an IIC interface it has a SMB interface. This, however is no problem, basically the only difference is that the SMB has a time out which the IIC does not have. I have yet to find ANY problem with using SMB intefaces for IIC. Erik If that is the only difference, then does'nt that make SMB a more reliable interface? Sort of hang proof? |
