From several databooks I learned, that HF performance of SMD ferrite beads is the better the smaller the package is. So, I use ferrite beads in 0603 package (reflow soldering).

I would recommend you to use 0805 packages. These ones can still be soldered by hand. Choose a soldering temperature of 250°C and use no-clean solder. Solder as fast as possible, but wait until the solder has flown. Try to not directly touch the metalization of ferrite bead by the solder iron.
