#107571 - I am aware Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Jerson, thanks for your reply. The 433MHz modules are well suited for most of the applications, but I am intended to do this project on Zigbee: simply for getting used to it.
Also, since Zigbee is a catch word now-a-days, I got overwhelming response from academia. I am aware that TI has bought Chipcon, thanks for posting the same. There were several stories behind. Previously, Chipcon was providing only the hardware, and Figure8 wireless was providing software for Chipcon and Ember's modules. Chipcon then bought Figure8 wireless, and announced a complete RF system design portfolio. Before that hype came down, TI has bought Chipcon! Race against time and money! Well, does esmartholdings provide CC2420 modules? or anything from Chipcon? Thanks and Regards, Vignesh. PS: 433MHz modules, which I bought from Bangalore costed me Rs. 650 and my friend has bought similar module from Chennai for less than Rs. 400, much variation! [Edit]It would be really interesting to see how TI will be handling CC2430 product (CC2420 zigbee transceiver+8051 core), we may get a CC24430, transceiver+MSP430 core!) |
