Hi All,
I say it's a matter of collars and cuffs. As long as they match, it doesn't matter. And when they don't match NASA slams a spacecraft into mars instead of landing it. Although, once in graduate school I was so irritated by the different disciplines using different systems (MKS v CGS, both metric I might add) that I did an entire draft of my dissertation in FSF (Furlong/Stone/Fortnight) as a protest. (Much of my research drew from the chemistry and biology disciplines.) Fortunately my advisor had a sufficient sense of humor that the rest of my committee decided to mark it up as a good humored gesture as well. |
