However, this is omitted from the Atmel version. I have a older Atmel "bible", doc0499, which does mention it; I believe this is not linked to directly from the current Atmel pages (although google will find it given appropriate keywords). This might mean omission/neglecting (possibly when merging in the Temic documentation); or intent: the modern Atmel '51 derivatives might NOT behave in this way! Still I believe the OP is innocent in the "did not search" item of prosecution. JW PS. It appears that the current aggregate Atmel AT89S52 documentation (i.e. current datasheet + "bible") does not mention the function of IP (interrupt priority) register at all, except its address in the SFR table! |
