Doing a 16bit add for the free running counter does take a few cycles for a 12clock cpu, but it seems to work for Bosch as I reverse engineered a motronic ecu that used a 80c517 cpu - and that was just a 12clocker also. Usually you got a few cycles to spare - engines are quite slow compared to processors. |
