#143446 - Error Budget Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Oliver Sedlacek said:
You have to put some power in to a thermistor to make a measurement! That power will cause some self heating, so the most important question is "how much self heating can I tolerate".
Please answer the following questions. 1. What temperature error can you tolerate? 2. What power generates this temperature rise. This depends strongly on what the thermistor is attached to. If it's in an oil bath, the value will be quite high, if it's in free air it will be quite low. 3. Does measurement need to be continuous, or can I turn the power off between measurements. 4. Will the measurement be calibrated in some way that removes fixed offsets. Ans1: +/- 0.1 Degree Celsius Ans2:The thermistoer is in Contact of solid aluminum block Ans3: yes , Continous measurement Ans4: Please suggest me the best option |
