#140696 - TWO WRONGS
Responding to: ???'s previous message
However, our PLM programmer has informed me that manipulation of this register is not necessary as we have defined a "Large" memory model and the compiler/linker should take care of it. Do you or anyone else have any ideas on this?

1) the LARGE model is for lazy people, the SMALL model is for programmers. The throughput using the LARGE model is, at best, a crawl.
2) the compiler does not set diddlysquat. you MUST set the needed bit(s) as the very first in statup.a51 (or the equivalent for your compiler)
