#134752 - testing and troubleshooting Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Test your programs output with a connection to PC serial port and Hyperterminal (or any other terminal emulator program).
Does your 8051 send out what think it needs to send out? If you connect your pc to the MC35, and by means of your PC , you emulate your 8051, does the MC35 react as supposed? Doe she send anything at all? You can't write a serial comms program, hook it up to a device and then expect everything to work as you think it should work. You have made assuptions when writing your program (ie the MC35 responds by "OK"). You need to verify your assumptions. Do not try to run before you can walk. Don't walk before you ca crawl... Is your connection correct? I can't say. Is the MC35 a DCE or DTE? Use your PC to determine what needs to be connected Regards Patrick |
