I do, but please understand that I have nothing agaist the concept of an IDE, just the implementation. The below is general for all IDEs I know of, I just use Keil as an example Were I making ONE version/product only I might use the Keil IDE if I could replace the 'editor' with an editor and the 'debugger' with an ICE. The concept of the IDEs I know of is "to use our IDE if you want to use our good stuff (the Keil compiler/linker) you have to use our not so good stuff (the Keil editor and debugger)". Of course, an IDE allowing multibuilds is just dreaming. Erik PS then there are the "freestanding" IDEs such as Eclipse and the IDE portion of CodeWright and there "an IDE allowing multibuilds is just dreaming" cut any thought of using them off. multibuild: build one, a selection or all of 47 versions built from the same source files. |
