#124400 - Eclipse?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
What about this:

http://www.eclipse.org/

Has anyone here done anything useful with it - especially for 8051 development?

Sounds like it could fulfil Erik's dream of letting the IDE people do what they do best, and get on with IDEs, while the tool (compilers, linkers, debuggers...) people do what they do best and get on with tools...?
