You didn't mention that your keyboard has only one connector that you're using for both USB and PS2.
It always helps to give all relevant details...

But why not have separate connectors?

Is it really cheaper to supply a separate adaptor than to build-in 2 connectors?

It's just another thing for the user to lose...

What does the USB spec say about using the USB socket for non-USB purposes...?
