The prime finder is a mathematical process and comparing by something that nobody in his/her right mind would use a '51 for seems irrelevant.

something like take buffser a read the bytes one by one, if bit x is set move to buffer b, if greater than n move to buffer c else move to buffer d. maybe throw a lookup table and a switch statement into the mix.
