I suggest you to use C language. Today most of the microcontrollers have C compiler. It makes the programming easier. For example ı'm designing a mobile robot with my two friends and we have to find the correlation of two sound which will be taken from the environment to specify the motion direction. We could not write the necessary codes if we had prefered assembly.
