#110450 - Psuedo-Sam Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I had to work some source code that was intended for the Psuedo-Sam assembler. Yes the resulting .obj file was absolute hex and there was no linker included in the package.
What i noticed was that the assembler used the Motorola scheme for psuedo-ops and constant declaration and the like. If this is what you like or are used to no big deal but it you are going to import code from other 8051 examples you'll find the intel assembler approach seems to be far more standard and as such you'll do less "re-typing" if you use the MetaLink or Keil assembler both of which have more compatibility with intel's original As51 assembler. regards, p |
