OK, you didn't find any advantage that exceeds the differences on SiLabs C8051F3xx family for your project. On the other hand, 'F12x matches your requirement, you accept it even inventing the SFR name replacement. I need small profile MCUs in my projects. Therefore, I use 'F3xx. I believe these devices are developed for this purpose. In this meaning, you failed device selection on the 'F3xx project. So, I think your advice may be "Consider application once more." in this case. Erik said:
