It's been about a month since any comments on the ToolStik (not ToolStick). Wondering if anyone really DID get it?
If so, was it usable or just a cute 'toy'? I read the 37 comments on the forum under ToolStick. Some found NO use for it; some thought it might be useful. I just read about it in Electronic Design yesterday, and looks appealing. Don't care that the shipping is around $6 (USPS) and $7 (UPS); then on the other hand there aren't the additional burden for non-USA destinations. I'm thinking of getting one just for the heck of it. I realize they didn't bring out all the 14 pins of the chip. It would have been nice if they'd brought all pins out to pads that wiring could be soldered onto. A hobbyist would have done so, no? Would be interesting if those who did get it or like the idea of this device responded with their comments. Thanks, for any. Harley |
