a) downloaded and works as advertised :-) . I was reluctant to download it as it said "update only" (and is 10MB+).
b) I am going to look into the help to find out how it works (breakpoints etc.). Just a quick question - is it bound to Keil's tools only, or can I use e.g. the Metalink assembler? a) "update only", I have "hammered" at SILabs for this because it makes it impossible to save the previous version with the known bugs, so you can go back if a new bug is more obnoxious. b) there are entries at http://www.silabs.com/tgwWebApp...pnotes.htm for using almost any tool with the IDE albeit none for metalink. To the best of my recollection, metalink does not have a "link to ICE function" so all you get is the disassmbly to work with. A format available from Keil, Raisonance, HiTech ..... makes a file that, in addition to the executable gives line numbers for the labels and addresses for the variable and thus allow "source based" debugging.
